Omazed with the Batmobile

Visitors to the Warner Bros. studio tour had a surprise recently when Ben Affleck showed up in his Batmobile to promote Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice‘s Omaze charity campaign — not that everyone believed that it was the real Affleck and not a particularly convincing lookalike.

Affleck’s appearance, where he has to deal with fans who aren’t sure which of the superheroes he plays in Zack Snyder’s upcoming movie (“Who do you think sits in this car?” he asks at one point. “Does this look like Superman’s car to you? Superman has a Subaru!”), follows similar promotional videos for the campaign by Henry Cavill and Jesse Eisenberg. It ends with Affleck taking a fan for a spin in Batman’s iconic vehicle, which also happens to be one of the potential prizes for those contributing.

The Omaze campaign connected to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice supports three non-profit organizations nominated by Affleck, Cavill and Eisenberg: Affleck’s own Eastern Congo Initiative, the SEED Project and the Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust.

Those donating at different levels can receive a number of rewards, including limited-edition merchandise, artwork and even the chance to have dinner with the cinematic Lex Luthor himself.
